Kendal (11/3), The event, entitled “Planting Mangrove Tree Seeds and Counseling as One of the Efforts to Preserve Mangrove Forests on Ngebum Kaliwungu Beach Kendal,” was held on November 3 at Ngebum Beach, Kendal Regency, with Dr. Abdul Kohar Mudzakir as the chairman, Prof. Aristi Dian PF as a member, and Bogi Budi Jayanto, S.Pi, M.Si as a member. 1,000 mangrove seedlings from avicenia species were planted during this exercise, which was attended by professors on capture fisheries and aided by 76 students from SMK 4 Kendal and the neighborhood around Ngebum Beach. With this planting, it is intended that Ngebum Beach would be more attractive, sustainably maintained, and capable of reducing beach erosion, all of which will boost tourism. Five life jackets are also given to the community in addition to the planting of mangroves.
