Bali (19/5),  five students from the Department of Capture Fisheries, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK), and one student from the Vocational School of Universitas Diponegoro, who are part of the Capture Project Team, successfully achieved multiple accomplishments at the Futuristics and Prestige Research, Technology, and Art (FAPERTA) Fair 5, held on May 18-19, 2024 at Dhyana Pura University in Bali. The FAPERTA Fair itself is a national-level competition for scientific writing organized by the Sentosa Foundation. In this competition, the Capture Fisheries student team consisting of five students successfully achieved a Gold Medal in the Environmental Essay category, a Silver Medal in the HSE Poster category, a Bronze Medal in the Environmental Essay category, a Bronze Medal in the Technology Essay category, and also became the 1st Overall Hope Champion under the guidance of FPIK lecturer Kukuh Eko Prihantoko, S.Pi., M.Si. The five FPIK students who achieved these accomplishments are from the Department of Capture Fisheries.

The success of these students is also attributed to the support from the faculty, professors, and Bank Jateng, who have provided sponsorship to the FPIK student team in participating in this competition. With the achievement at the national level through FAPERTA Fair 5, Adji, as the team leader, hopes to participate in other national or even international competitions. Adji is confident that he and his fellow FPIK students can achieve even greater success in the future. “I also hope that FPIK as a faculty will continue to show support to students who aspire to develop and excel,” he said. Hopefully, in the future, there will be more FPIK Undip students who can achieve proud accomplishments.
