Sragi, Pekalongan (6/8), In the context of the Community Service Learning (KKN) activities carried out by students from Universitas Diponegoro Team II in 2024, one interesting monodisciplinary project is the creation of tilapia fish brownies. This program aims to provide innovation for Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as well as the PKK in Purworejo Village.

Allifiana Ibdiannisa Zaini, a student from the Capture Fisheries Study Program, is the initiator of this creative idea. According to her, utilizing tilapia fish as a raw material for brownies is an innovative step that can enhance the added value of local fishery products. “Allifiana wants to demonstrate that tilapia fish can not only be processed into traditional food, but also into more modern and appealing products,” she said.

This activity begins with a demonstration to UMKM practitioners and PKK mothers about the benefits and the process of making tilapia brownies. During the socialization, Allifiana explains the simple production process and easily accessible ingredients. “We use fresh tilapia, flour, sugar, and other additional ingredients to create delicious brownies,” she adds.

After the socialization, it was followed by hands-on practice in making brownies. The participants appeared enthusiastic and eager to follow each step. “I didn’t expect that fish could be processed into delicious brownies. This is a very interesting idea,” said one of the participants, Mrs. Siti, a local PKK member.
